Jeremy Carroll | Youth And Kids Pastor
What is your position/responsibility at Church212°?
As Family Pastor I oversee kids and youth ages 0-18 years.
What is your vision/goal for this role?
My goal is to partner with parents to help kids and youth find the plan and purpose that God has for their lives.
How & when did you first come to Church212°?
I have known Pastor Mike since 1998 when he was my bible college professor with an accent that was hard to understand sometimes. My wife and I have been at Church212° since day 1.
What is something you find unique and appreciate about Church212°?
I am really overwhelmed by the love that our people have for one another. Everyone is ready to jump in and do whatever they can for someone in need.
Where are you from?
I was born in Illinois, but grew up in the Bay Area in Northern California.
Tell us about your family members. Feel free to use adjectives.
My wife Lupita is a beautiful, hot blooded Latina that has been my best friend for almost 20 years now. She is the ultimate help-meet and a blessing from the Lord and I don’t know where I would be without her. We have a 13 year old daughter named Lauryn who has been singing since the day she came out of the womb and an 8 year son named Jeremy who can complete any video game that you put in front of him.
Please provide a short testimony about your relationship with Christ.
I came to Christ at the age of 6 in a small church in Washington State. It was then that I felt the call to ministry even though I didn’t know what that looked like. I have never desired to be senior pastor, but always felt a call to come alongside someone and help them fulfill and complete the vision that God gave them. This is why I am so excited about 212, because God has given Pastor Mike and Stephanie such an amazing vision for our valley!
Along with redemption, what principle or promise or verse from the Bible has had the most transformative effect on your life?
I love Lamentations 3:22-24, because it talks about the patience that God has for us. I need His great love, compassion and faithfulness because I find myself falling short and I am thankful that God doesn’t give up on me.
What is the best place you have ever visited?
My family and I went on a Disney cruise to the Mexican Rivera and few years back and it was the greatest vacation ever.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Somewhere by the beach. My wife and I tell our kids that one day when we are old that is where they will have to come and visit us.
Name a food you can’t wait to eat in heaven without guilt or consequence.
Anything Mexican, with a side of fries, and some of my wife’s famous oatmeal cranberry cookies.
These are a few of my favorite things…
Niners, Giants, Warriors, Sharks and of course my Rottweiler, Jake.
