Ken is a graduate of Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX; Faith College in Saskatoon, Canada; and Victory World Missions Training Center in Tulsa, OK. He has been a missionary in the Philippines since 1988. Ken married Cris (a Filipina) in 1989. They have three children-- Casey, Bryan, and Karen.

The Sandbergs reside in Davao City on Mindanao Island in the Philippines. They have been with Calvary since 1995 and are currently serving as the National Projects Coordinators.

Ken & Cris are frequent speakers in churches and Christian conferences in the Philippines and Indonesia. Ken is now the SE Asia Director for Global Advance in a networking relationship with CI. He & Cris have hosted several Global Advance conferences for pastors, church leaders, and women. In the past two years, about 4000 people have attended these events, with guest speakers from the USA also involved. The most recent events were Frontline Shepherds, Women's, and Marketplace Missions Conferences in Manado, Indonesia held from February 18-20, 2009. Total attendance was 944 (mostly pastors and leaders of ministries and businesses) in those meetings! Coming up: A big Frontline Shepherds Conference will be held on Boracay Island, Philippines, March 17-19, 2009.

Ken founded Calvary Bible Institute in Davao City as well as Calvary Bible School in Indonesia. These two schools, and five branch CBI's in Mindanao, have graduated more than 280 students in the past 12 years.

Cris is founder of Calvary Tribal Leadership Training in Mindanao (which has impacted a dozen indigenous tribes with the gospel.) Ken & Cris also conduct a dynamic summer camp for Filipino teens called "Youthquake!" (which will be held in Davao, May 18-21, 2009). As well, they direct Great Commission Mobilizers, a group that is helping send Filipino missionaries to the 10/40 Window region.

In addition to all the above, Ken & Cris are the directors of Living Stones Orphanage in Davao City. Most of the kids in Living Stones are infants and toddlers. Ken & Cris & their staff take care of these orphaned or abandoned kids and help find adoptive Christian homes for them, often in Western nations. Living Stones Orphanage cared for 38 children in the past year! Eight of those children were adopted into loving homes in the USA, Canada, Finland, Australia, and the Philippines.

Please pray for more workers to join Ken & Cris in their work in SE Asia!
