The Dash
17.05.2010 22:05:25

jeremy and lupitaI don't know about you but I have been really challenged by the sermons these past two Sundays as we have been talking about, "The Dash."  We as believers have to do more with our time here on earth than to live our 70 or 80 years and die and go to heaven.  We have an obligation to God to make an impact on the world around us.  There are so many lost and hurting people, and you and I may be the only Jesus that they ever get to see.

Glad to be home
06.05.2010 07:59:54

It is great to be home, but I so miss the people that I have such a heart for. I hate to see suffering of any kind and there seems to be no relief anywhere in sight. I have to trust that the gospel is what changes people. When people receive the Gospel, their lives change for the better. Many times we want to feed them and clothe them and take care of them like babies. Now there is a good place for all of that, but we must start with the basic's. Matt, Mark and Luke all recorded Jesus saying the same things. "Preach the Gospel, make disciples, baptize them in my name and teach them to observe what I have commanded you. He didn't say, go into all the world and give people money or food. No the gospel will teach them how to teach them selves or open business' on their own. God owns the cattle on the hill and he can do great things if they learn to follow His word!!!

The Power of the Spirit
17.03.2010 22:17:22

Chris Harrison  Hey everybody, Wow, dad has really gotten me stirred up about the gifts of the spirit. I really tapped into the word of knowledge today. I was asked to speak at CSOD for their chapel service in the Junior High. I wasn't sure what to speak on, so I just relied on the Holy Ghost. Daniel and the Band went with me for the junior high service, which was at 8 O'Clock. I was only supposed to speak at that service. During the worship, I received a word of knowledge, which is simply a word (part or fragment) of the total mind of God about things known in the present or past. I had a supernatural understanding about what the needs of the teens were, not general needs, but specifically what they needed. The Spirit of God fell in that place and I preached with a fervency that I haven't felt in a long while.

A fire was started in that school! Youth that have been lukewarm and complacent repented and kids were saved! After this, the leaders of the chapel service for the High School, asked me to stay over and preach to the entire high school as well. He canceled the other speaker, because he felt that I had  the word of the Lord for today. I stayed over and the same thing happened again. There is a spirit of revival on the campus and I am so excited about it. It is not me, it is God working in me through his gifts. Be sensitive and see what he will do through you this week.

Blessings,

PC

I Belong
15.03.2010 13:28:23
lindaMy home is my church. It's a place where I feel loved and appreciated. It's a place where my gifts are acknowledged and used. When our cups are filled they begin to overflow - love gives back. At Church 212 we want everyone to feel the love of God by demonstration. We want God's word to change you; change your situation and change your life! When that begins to happen, you will influence others. You will see people differently. What God has given to you, you will want to share with others. You will embrace what God values, PEOPLE. There are so many hurting people out there who need Jesus. There are so many hurting people in church - right next to you. You could be their answer to prayer. Everyone is needing love and acceptance. Reach out and be a friend to someone today.

Just poppin' in . . .
15.02.2010 23:20:13

deborahYesterday Pastor Mike continued his teaching on prayer - focusing on hinderances to effective prayer.  If you weren't there, three guesses what the number one hinderance is.  NOT WALKING IN LOVE - very appropriate on Valentine's Day.  It was a great message for couples but so applicable to everyone else as well.  Satan wants to get us into strife, selfishness, and improper motives - these things will diminish our prayer life.  Let's remember we're not wrestling flesh and blood, but powers and principalities and God's given us authority over all the power of the enemy!  Love your mate, do good, provoke one another to good works, pray for one another, and experience the joy of His love flowing in and through you.

On a different note . . .okay the doors are open, no A/C or heat need be on; the birds are singing priases to our Creator and it's gorgeous outside.  Hope you get out and enjoy it a bit.  All you locals, don't cha just love our desert?

Great Night!!
04.02.2010 17:54:02

jLast was a great night at church 212, and a great night at Awana.  Not only did we as a church have the most people we have ever had on a Wednesday night, 200, but we had the most kids that we have ever had, 57, at Awana!  It was missions night and Daniel did a great job talking to the kids about his trip to the Philippines and the miracles that he saw.  I'm sure they won't soon forget what they heard and who knows, we may have some little missionaries in the making.  God is Good!!!

The Call to Pray
26.01.2010 19:33:12

jI don't know about the rest of you, but I was really challenged by Pastor Mike's message on prayer this past sunday.  I woke up the next day and asked God to let my heart feel the hurt and pain of those around me as Jesus did.  The time for us to impact people for Jesus is running out and we need to act now.  Let's stay focused and dilligent to seek God in prayer about how we may reach them for Him.

212 Sports
23.01.2010 01:53:29

ballOur softball was rained out tonight, which is really a downer because we are on fire this year. This is the season we will win it all. Our basketball team is getting better. Pray for us as we take on Valley Christian Assembly II tomorrow morning at Palm Desert Presbyterian Church. It will be a tough one, but we can win it. If you want to have a 212 sports team, just gather together some of your friends and have a sign up for it. Just make sure they are good. :) Just Kidding. Or not. Yes, I am kidding......But really, make sure they are good though. :) But they don't have to be. :) But try. JK

 Love you guys,

You Gotta Hear This . . .
17.01.2010 23:47:04

deborahIf you were unable to be at the Desert Cities' Tea Sat., Jan. 16 or the Sunday morning service at Church 212°  on Jan. 17th, I strongly encourage you to listen online, or order the CD of our guest speaker, Sheri Rose Shepherd.  Yesterday was very good; today was over the top!!  She shared from the depths of her heart and the truth in her message will stir, encourage, and inspire you to go on - no matter what!!  She's been through so much, but is a wonderful credit and testimony of a life saved and carried by grace.  NOT for Chicks only!

After you've heard it, let's see YOUR comments. Log in to share your comments.

Roll Tide!!!
12.01.2010 22:04:25

Roll TideI remained spiritual Sunday morning and did not use the microphone to say "ROLL TIDE". My Crimson Tide Football team from the great state of Alabama won their 13th National Championship on Thursday. The most by any college. They are also tied for first for the most bowl wins. And they have the most bowl appearances of any team. The defeated Texas 37-21 or you could say that they almost DOUBLED Texas' score in route to the BCS National Championship. Yeah Team. I had to say this or people would start to wonder about my loyalty.

Mind Control
12.01.2010 18:17:42

ImagesI read a great verse this week from Romans 8:6.  "The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;"  After reading that I quickly prayed and asked God, "please Lord, You be the one controlling my mind."  I'm sure all of you know this to be true that when you are walking with God and are in His will, there is definitely more peace in your life than if you are not.  My question to you is, "who or what is controlling your mind?"

I want to thank everyone for their prayers during the time of my dad's illness. I know he appreciated it and I know that we have seen results because of it. God is so faithful and he has shown this again in my dad's situation. I love my Church 212 family so much.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
26.11.2009 17:57:42

It is a strange Thanksgiving day here. It is going to be 80 degrees. No one is talking about the Alabama football game which is happening tomorrow. I will not be seeing my aunts and uncles, cousins, and grandparents and the spread of food will not be as it used to be. And there is no back yard family football game.

Oh yeah, I moved to California. :) Nonetheless, I am glad to be here in sunny California, even though I miss Thanksgiving in the south. ROLL TIDE!!!
